About Me
I am a trainee Psychotherapist.. I am passionate about helping young people who feel lost, frustrated, disconnected and feel like their potential is being capped by an unknown cause, struggling to move forward and finding a way to express their genomic potential. Late adolescence and early adulthood can be difficult for many, as it is a time when someone is trying to figure out their identity. Many want to pursue a particular goal but there can be psychological issues that are holding them back. I strongly believe that it is the job of a therapist to find out where these complexes are coming from, and how to move forward with their life in a healthy and authentic way, and become the best that they can be. Undergoing therapy is a method of self-development where an individual who is suffering can change, grow and adapt. It is a unique process for each person as they bring their own experiences into the room. I do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach when it comes to therapeutic change. Everybody is different, with their own story, and will need a method that works best for them. Young people in particular, face a lot of pressure and stresses from the likes of social media and pop culture, which can cause anxiety for a lot of people, as they are pressured into “fitting in”, which can cause over adaptation to other people, and hand over a part of their identity to others, when it truly belonged to the individual. As a student at the Institute for Psycho- Systems Analysis, I believe that certain psychological issues are best understood through the Biopsychosocial model of therapy. Ultimately the best way to relieve of mental suffering, is to consider oneself against the context of their entire life, this includes and necessitates their biology, psychology and social relationships. All of my clinical work is supervised by the Institute for Psycho- Systems Analysis whilst ongoing professional training and development.
